Es sind zwei neue, inoffizielle Versionen des Mplayers erschienen. Das erste Release stammt von tipolosko und beinhaltet DVD-Support (vorraussetzung ist ein installiertes DVDx). Der Player liest nur Daten-DVDs und keine Video-DVDs.

Das zweite Release ist "MPlayerWii DCelso & Qualith MOD R2" dessen Vorgänger bisher schon bei uns zu finden war.

Die Änderungen hier:
This modded version of MPlayer-wii is just a hack of version 0.7 to support sequential and random play.

Release 2 changes:

• Added tipolosko patch to add DVD support
  
• Rebuilt with lastest versions of libogc and libfat (add support to SDHC)
  
• Changed wiimote buttons functions like this:
  
• "A" button plays a single file (as official version)
  
• "1" button plays all the list sequentially.
  
• "2" button plays the list randomly.
  
• Included in this package is the source code patch to apply to official version 0.7 of mplayerwii.
